My mom passed away on March 4, 2024, after more than 2 weeks in the hospital trying to recover from a heart attack. My dad and I were able to be with her when she passed and said our goodbyes.
Mom was so kind and loving, which is why one of my dear friends recommended creating this page in her honor. She full-heartedly supported the CD Kindness Movement and gave out our cards and tokens whenever she could.
She spent most of her adult life helping people. When we were younger, she was pretty much a stay-at-home mom, and then once we grew up, she got her master's degree in counseling and really started helping others. Eventually, she also earned a Ph.D. in Psychology and focused her life on helping people through energy work.
When she was younger, Mom suffered from a fear of heights. When we lived in Florida, it wasn't really a big deal, but one year Mom and Dad went to Colorado on vacation. During this trip, they were on a hike that included walking up a set of stairs on the side of a mountain that had open slates- You could see right through them (and down.) Mom was so terrified that she ended up going back down the stairs on her bottom (much to her chagrin). Years later, after becoming an EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy ), she was able to cure her fear of heights and climbed those stairs.
She will be missed so much, but we take comfort in knowing how many people she helped and supported.
